FORT MYERS, FL : Two separate crashes closed all lanes on US 41 on Wednesday, August 23, 2017

Two separate crashes closed all lanes on US 41 along the Caloosahatchee bridge Wednesday night.

One of the crashes involved five cars, the other was between two cars. The Fort Myers Police said there were major damages reported to most of the vehicles involved, and a truck ended up hanging over the edge of the bridge. Only minor injuries were reported.

The scene caused all lanes of the bridge to be closed Wednesday night, and they eventually reopened around midnight.
