Motorcyclist Injured Trying to Avoid Deer in Vernon

A motorcyclist sustained a serious head injury after crashing while trying to avoid a deer on Monday morning.Lifestar medical helicopter has been requested and Hartford Turnpike is closed at Route Talcottville Road, a major intersection in Vernon.
Hartford Turnpike is also closed by Main Street.Lifestar will be landing at the Connecticut Golf Land parking lot, officials said.
