Haines City, FL : Several students hospitalized in school bus crash on 30th Street and Hornet Drive in Haines City on Friday, December 5, 2014

Haines City Police Department and Haines City Fire Department are investigating a crash involving a Polk County School Bus. The incident took place at the intersection of 30th Street and Hornet Drive at about 2:30 p.m., when school was being released, according to Haines City Police. Some of the children who were injured were taken by ambulance or by parents to local hospitals in the area for precautionary measures. A second bus arrived on the scene to take the other students home. The school bus involved in the accident has been removed from the scene. Haines City Police said they have yet to determine who is responsible for causing the accident. No charges have been filed. At this time the investigation is ongoing.
