Bradenton,FL : 2 killed, 2 hurt in State Road 70 crash on October, Thursday 12th 2017

A crash in DeSoto County left two dead Thursday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The 35-year-old driver of a 2008 Chevrolet Impala was traveling west on State Road 70, west of NW Florida Avenue, around 4:40 p.m. when it veered into oncoming traffic and collided with Christine Mccue’s 2015 Nissan Versa.

Mccue, 42, and a 12-year-old passenger, Skylar Mccue, both of Myakka City, died in the crash. A 9-year-old passenger in Mccue’s vehicle was taken to All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg with serious injuries.

The driver of the Impala also sustained serious injuries and was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
