Beckley,WV : One person dead after car crashes into Sophia bingo hall on May, Thursday 10th 2018

One person died Thursday evening when a car crashed into the Sophia bingo hall and injured multiple others, according to Raleigh County Sheriff Scott Van Meter.

Van Meter said the vehicle crashed into Sophia City Bingo Hall around 9:30 p.m.

Twelve people were reportedly injured. In addition to the one fatality, Sophia City Assistant Fire Chief Scott Thomas said injuries ranged from minor to critical.

The incident is under investigation by the Raleigh County Sheriff's Office and West Virginia State Police.

Also on the scene were Sophia Police, Sophia and Sophia City fire departments and Jan-Care Ambulance.
