One killed in crash on I-70 near Greenfield

One person has died in a crash on Interstate 70 near Greenfield.

The crash happened around 11 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the interstate, just east of SR 9. All lanes were closed in both directions while police investigated the crash involving a semi and a passenger car. The eastbound lanes reopened a short time later.

An occupant of the car was transported to Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. That person was pronounced dead a short time later, police say.
