SEDGWICK, AR : Hoxie man dies in rural accident on U.S. 63 in Lawrence County on Saturday, 14th March, 2020

A Hoxie man died Saturday in a single-vehicle accident on U.S. 63 in Lawrence County, north of Sedgwick, Arkansas State Police reported.

Donald C. Hackworth, 76, was driving his 2019 Ford F-150 northbound on the highway just after 11 a.m., according to the preliminary crash summary. Hackworth's vehicle crossed the center turn lanes and both southbound lanes before it left the road on the westbound side.The truck struck a utility pole and a large tree, according to the report. It was raining and the roads were wet.
