Englewood ,NJ : Two charged after chase ends in rollover crash near GWB on Thursday ,July 16th 2015
Authorities on Thursday identified the two Maryland men arrested after a rollover crash and police chase across the George Washington Bridge.
New York City officers in the Bronx began the chase after they got a report of someone with a gun in a Cadillac sedan Tuesday afternoon, police said. The car wouldn't stop and led NYPD officers on a chase into New Jersey, before it flipped on Route 95 southbound, near the Jones Road bridge.
Port Authority police rushed to the crash scene and arrested two men in the Cadillac, according to agency spokesman Joe Pentangelo. Officers spotted a 9mm handgun in plain view in the car.
The men -- Deondrae Stull, 24, and Jean Carlos Sierra, 29 -- face charges including possession of marijuana, eluding and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, authorities said.
Stull was ordered held at the Bergen County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail, according to sheriff's records. Sierra was jailed on $150,000 bail.
An NYPD spokesman said he didn't have further details about the pursuit.
