Arlington, WA : No students injured in school bus crash on State Route 530 in Arlington on Wednesday afternoon, Oct 7, 2015
No students were injured Wednesday afternoon when a school bus collided with a pickup truck and drove into a ditch.
The school bus had just left Haller Middle School at about 3 p.m. and was driving on State Route 530 in Arlington when the crash happened, according to Washington State Patrol trooper Eric Goold.
Goold said a pickup truck swerved to miss another truck that was pulling out of a driveway onto SR-530. The bus, which was carrying three teenagers, "glanced" the swerving truck and went off the road into a ditch.
Neither the bus driver nor the students were injured in the crash. Goold said one of the other drivers suffered minor injuries.
A stretch of SR-530 was briefly closed to traffic while troopers investigated and cleared the scene.
