Western Sangamon County, IL : Springfield woman dead after crash near New Berlin on Thursday, 8th November 2018

A Springfield woman died Wednesday after the vehicle she was driving went off the road and crashed in western Sangamon County.

Carolyn Rodgers, 75, of Springfield was pronounced dead at Memorial Medical Center at 4:59 p.m. Wednesday, about an hour after her vehicle went off the road and rolled over at Illinois 54 and Farley Road, about 5 miles east of New Berlin, the Sangamon County coroner’s office said.

An autopsy conducted Thursday morning showed she died of injuries suffered in the crash. Illinois State Police is investigating the crash.
