Beaumont, TX : 1 injured when commercial trucks wreck in Orange County on Tuesday, December, 19th 2017

A Louisiana man was taken to a Beaumont hospital Tuesday morning after two commercial trucks crashed in Orange County, according to information from DPS.

The wreck occurred on Texas 87 at about 8 a.m., the department said. A preliminary investigation indicates that a 1992 Western Star was waiting to turn left onto Owens Illinois Road when it was hit from behind by a 1990 Freightliner.

The 56-year-old Pitkin, La. man driving the Freightliner was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment, the department said.
