One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash near uptown Charlotte early Monday morning.
The accident happened just after 4 a.m. on the Interstate-77 ramp to West Morehead Street. The ramp was closed for nearly three hours. It reopened around 6:45 a.m.
Officials say the car was traveling southbound on I-77 when the car turned onto the ramp and rolled over. One person, whose identity has not been released, died at the scene.
Another person in the car was taken to Carolinas Medical Center in serious condition.
