Minneapolis,MN : Park Rapids area injury accidents reported on June, Monday 19th 2017
One person was injured following a two-vehicle accident Monday, June 19 in Park Rapids.
The accident occurred at 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of Third Street East and Riverside when one vehicle was turning into Cornerstone Apartments and was rear-ended by a second vehicle, causing the first vehicle to roll over on its roof.
According to the Park Rapids Police Department, the driver of the first vehicle, 28-year-old Carly Engen, complained of neck pain and was transported to CHI St. Joseph's Health for treatment. Janese Stearns, 48, was the driver of the second vehicle and was not injured in the accident.
There were no citations issued. Assisting on the scene was the Park Rapids PD, North Memorial Ambulance, Hubbard First Responders, Park Rapids Fire Department, and Hubbard County Sheriff's Office.
A 19-year-old Park Rapids man was transported to a Fargo hospital after crashing his car in Becker County just after midnight Friday, June 16.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the accident happened on County Road 42 at 580th Avenue in Green Valley Township near Menahga.
Kyle Andrew Bethel, 19, was westbound on County Road 42 when he lost control of his Chrysler Intrepid and crashed in a field.
He was transported to Fargo with what was described in the accident report as non-life-threatening injuries.
A 26-year-old Bemidji man was injured and transported to a Fargo hospital following a one-vehicle accident Sunday, June 18 in Hubbard County. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Eric Martin Woodford of Bemidji was northbound on Highway 71, driving a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, when he left the road, drove into the ditch and hit a culvert, sending the vehicle airborne. The pickup landed on the driver's side.
The accident occurred at 1:40 a.m. and Woodford suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol is believed to be involved in the accident, according to the State Patrol report.
