Springfield, IL : Three injured in I-65 semi crash on Monday, September 18th 2017
A crash involving two semi-trucks closed the northbound side of I-65 for several hours on Monday, so that cars had to be diverted off of the interstate, according to a report from the Indiana State Police.
Trooper Butch Crowder investigated at the scene. He found that the crash had occurred around 4 p.m. A 2006 Peterbilt, pulling a box trailer, owned by MVJ Transport out of Romeoville, Illinois was in the right lane, headed northbound. It was near the 200.5 mile marker, half-a-mile south of the Remington exit, loaded with plastic trays and driven by Jarvis Brown, 28, of Joliet, IL. Brown was struck in the rear of his trailer by a 2017 Kentworth pulling a tanker, owned by PVS Transport out of Detroit Michigan. It was loaded with liquid fertilizer and being driven by Joseph Fox, 62, of Petersburg. Fox was in the right lane when he struck the rear of Brown’s trailer.
