A man who died in a car wreck Sunday in north Snohomish County has been identified as Chad Helvey, 22.
The Lake Stevens man was driving along the Mountain Loop Highway east of Granite Falls around 1:15 a.m. His car left the roadway and struck a tree.
Helvey died from head injuries, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. His death was ruled an accident.
Detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the cause of the wreck.
