SALEM, OR : Deadly mobility scooter crash in Salem on Wednesday, 22nd May 2024

A woman in a mobility scooter was hit and killed by a car Wednesday, according to the Salem Police Department.

The crash happened Wednesday morning at about 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of Liberty Street and River Street Northeast.

The initial investigation found that the woman was trying to cross the street from east to west when she was hit by a car driving northbound on Liberty Street.
