Bloomfield, CT : 91-year-old passenger dies, another injured in a single-vehicle crash in Bloomfield on Friday, July 29, 2016
Police say a 91-year-old person has died and another person was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Bloomfield.
The crash occurred at about 8:30 a.m. Friday to the area of Simsbury Road and Mountain Road. Responding officers found the vehicle off the right side of the road. The driver was out of the vehicle, disoriented and the front passenger was in cardiac arrest.
Both of the vehicle’s occupants were taken St. Francis Hospital where the 91-year-old passenger died. The 49-year-old driver was admitted to the ICU.
Both crash victims are from West Hartford, but no names were immediately released.
Witnesses told police that the driver had been exhibiting seizure-type activity.
