ELKHART COUNTY, IN : Bypass reopens after massive pile-up crash on Thursday, 4h July 2024

Two crashes on the Bypass involving at least 15 vehicles shut down traffic in both directions on the Bypass between State Road 19 and County Road 17 on Thursday night.

Elkhart County Dispatch says the first crash, involving eight cars, happened in the eastbound lane between State Road 19 and US-33 at 10:45 p.m. Not even five minutes later, a crash involving seven cars happened in the westbound lane between US-33 and County Road 17.

Thankfully, no one was injured.
