Harford County ,MD :Timothy Alan Lester, 49, killed after scooter accident on Friday ,August 21st 2015

Timothy Alan Lester, 49, of the 400 block of South Bond Street in Baltimore, died in a scooter accident in the Abingdon area Friday.

Lester lost control of a 2012 moped he was driving east along Route 40 near Pamela Drive around 10:08 p.m. and was thrown into traffic, according to the State Police accident report. The reason for loss of control is not stated in the report.

The driver of a 2004 Toyota Corolla tried to stop but ended up running over Lester, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the accident report.
