Sarasota County, FL : Concrete truck crash closes I-75 lanes in Sarasota County on Thursday, 5th March, 2020

Sarasota County Schools notified parents that afternoon school buses would be running 20-30 minutes behind schedule, due to the accident.

Lanes of Interstate 75 were closed in both directions for hours Thursday afternoon in Sarasota County after a major crash spilled concrete on the road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, four vehicles including a concrete truck were involved in the crash at about 12:45 p.m. near Fruitville Road. There were two trauma alerts, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office says. A large amount of concrete spilled onto the lanes of I-75 south.
