Ventura, CA : Motorcyclist injured in Highway 33 crash near Chorro Grande Canyon on Sunday morning, March 29, 2015

A motorcyclist was injured Sunday morning in a crash along Highway 33 near Chorro Grande Canyon, officials said.

The crash was reported about 11:30 a.m. in the 22000 block of Maricopa Highway.

The Ventura County Fire Department, California Highway Patrol and a Ventura County Sheriff’s helicopter responded to the incident.

Preliminary information indicates that the motorcyclist had a possible fractured ankle and lacerations, but was conscious.
