Fort Worth, TX: One killed and One child critically injured in crash along Loop 820 on Monday, August 3rd 2015

Paramedics say an elderly woman died in a wreck along Loop 820 in northwest Fort Worth late Monday afternoon.A fire department spokesman said the crash near White Settlement Road involved a pickup truck that slammed into the back of a sedan that had stopped in a southbound lane due to a flat tire.An older woman in the back seat of the Chevy Malibu was declared dead at the scene; a six-year-old girl who sitting next to her was critically injured and taken to Cook Children's Medical Center for treatment.The driver of the truck and the driver of the sedan were also hospitalized, but their injuries were not as serious. Another adult passenger in the car declined treatment.Rush hour traffic was backed up by the accident investigation and cleanup.
