One person was killed and another transported to a hospital after a motorcycle crash in Pleasant Prairie on Tuesday.
The accident was reported to Pleasant Prairie police about 3 a.m. in the 9000 block of 7th Avenue.
The motorcycle was traveling southbound on 7th Ave. and failed to negotiate the curve in the 9000 block. The motorcycle went left of center and stuck the guard rail. The operator and passenger were both ejected from the motorcycle.
The motorcycle operator, a 48-year-old man, of Kenosha, died at the scene.
The passenger, a 39-year-old woman, of Kenosha, was transported to the United Hospital System Kenosha Medical Center Campus and then to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. Information on her condition is not available at this time.
The operator and passenger were not wearing helmets.
The identities of the victims were not released due to pending notifications of family members. The crash is still under investigation by Pleasant Prairie police.
