Tucson, AZ : Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash on Oracle Road on Saturday, March 19, 2016

A motorcyclist was injured Saturday when he was hit by a vehicle on Oracle Road, city police said.

The Tucson Police Department said the motorcyclist was pulling out onto Oracle Road from Roger Road when he was hit by a vehicle.

Sgt. Kim Bay, TPD spokeswoman, said the motorcycle rider was not wearing a helmet and was transported to the hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, who said they did not see the motorcycle, stayed at the scene.

Oracle was shut down in the area for several hours.
