HUNTERSVILLE, NC : 1 killed in early morning crash on I-485 in northeast Charlotte on Monday, 7th September, 2020

One person was killed following an overnight crash on I-485 inner, Medic reports.
According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the crash happened at around 3 a.m. I-485 Inner between Exit 30 (I-85) and Exit (32) US-29 was closed for about 3 hours.
According to NCSHP, a Chevrolet passenger vehicle was traveling on I-85 NB when the driver took the on-ramp from I-85 NB onto I-485 Inner. Officials said the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it ran off the road and into the median where the vehicle overturned. The driver was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene, officials said.
