SALT LAKE CITY, UT : 8-year-old boy killed in van crash near Parowan on Saturday, 18th August 2018

Utah Highway Patrol officials say an 8-year-old boy has been killed after he was ejected from a van involved in a crash near Parowan.

The name of the boy wasn’t immediately released by authorities.

UHP troopers say the crash occurred around 1:45 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 15 after the van’s driver lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason and it collided with a sedan.

Troopers say the boy was ejected from the van and pronounced dead at the scene.
