A man driving at a high rate of speed lost control on Interstate 5 in Sacramento and died after crashing into a guardrail, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Alan Clint Bennett, 56, of Sacramento, was driving a 1992 Chevrolet Blazer just after 6:10 a.m. Tuesday when he entered southbound I-5 from eastbound Arena Boulevard, officers said.
While entering the highway, Bennett lost control of his vehicle, which continued east across all southbound lanes of I-5 and slammed into a guardrail in the center median.
