Topeka, KS : A 25 year-old Fremont woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Saturday, August 26, 2017

A 25 year-old Fremont woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash around 2:20 p.m. Saturday on North County Road 3 near West Township Road 36 in Jackson Township.
According to a dispatcher with the Fremont post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Britini Hunter was taken to ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital by EMS personnel from Fostoria Fire Division for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Hospital personnel said they had no information available on Hunter.
A crash report states Hunter swerved to avoid hitting an animal and lost control of her vehicle. She drove off the right side of the roadway, then came back onto the roadway before she went off the left side, striking a ditch.
After going into the ditch, Hunter’s vehicle spun 360 degrees and came to a stop facing north in the ditch. The crash report said Hunter was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Hunter was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
Assisting at the scene were fire departments from Risingsun and Kansas.
