LEE COUNTY, SC : Crash involving tractor-trailer car leaves one dead in Lee County on Friday, 10th November 2023

One person is dead following a Friday afternoon crash in Lee County involving a tractor-trailer and a car.

According to Corporal Tyler Tidwell with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 2:20 p.m. on U.S. 15, also known as Sumter Highway, near I-20. Tidwell said the crash involved a 2020 Volvo tractor-trailer heading north on U.S. 15 and attempting to make a left turn onto westbound I-20. Tidwell said the collision happened when a 2019 Chevrolet sedan heading north in the southbound lanes sideswiped the tractor-trailer.
