AUBURNDALE, FL : A Lakeland man died on April, Friday 21st 2017
A Lakeland man died Friday night in a one-vehicle crash on K’Ville Avenue, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office reported Saturday morning.
Christopher Scott Allen Davidson, 2009 Cinnamon Drive, was the the lone occupant in the 1993 Gold Mercury Marquis that was registered to him.
About 11 p.m. Friday, the Sheriff’s Office reported, that Davidson was driving west on the two-lane K’Ville Avenue when he appears to have lost control of his car which slid and rotated clockwise to the northwest. The car left the right side of the road, sliding sideways into a concrete pillar in front of Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 2198 K-Ville Ave.
When it struck the pillar, the driver’s side was badly damaged. The car flipped onto the driver’s side and came to rest on top of the pillar, which had been pushed over.
Davidson was found dead inside the car by Polk County Fire Rescue and medical units.
The Sheriff’s Office said speed appears to have been a factor in the crash and there were no signs the driver was impaired. There is also no evidence that another vehicle was involved in the accident.
