Eolia, MO : Clarksville woman injured in Pike County crash on Wednesday morning, June 29, 2016

A Clarksville woman was injured in a Wednesday morning crash in Pike County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer driven by Karen R. Norton, 71, was traveling east on Route WW east of Pike County Road 228 at 10 a.m. when it swerved to avoid a deer. The vehicle traveled into a field and struck a ditch.

Norton was taken by Pike County Ambulance to Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana with moderate injuries.

The patrol report said Norton was wearing a seat belt.
