Amherst Township, OH : Three injured after crash on Turnpike in Amherst Township on Thursday, November 13, 2014
Three people were sent to the hospital on Thursday after their car rolled over on the Ohio Turnpike.
Around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sukumar Dutta, 26, of Michigan was driving a 2006 Honda Civic eastbound on the Turnpike in Amherst Township when he went off the left side of the road and hit a concrete median wall, according the Milan Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The force of the crash caused the car to roll, injuring Dutta and his two passengers, Narayan Dutta, 60, and Krishna Dutta, 51.
All three people in the car were taken to University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. Narayan Dutta and Krishna Dutta had incapacitating injuries while Sukumar Dutta had non-incapacitating injuries, according to the state patrol.
Everyone in the car was wearing their seatbelts and troopers don’t believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
