OCALA, FL : Arrest made in hit-and-run crash that killed 2 women on February, Wednesday 21st 2018

A man was arrested in connection with a crash that killed two women.

Joshua Zuniga said nothing as Ocala police hauled him off to jail.

Police said Zuniga hit the two victims with a pickup truck in downtown Ocala and kept driving.

Both women died that night.

Zuniga is accused of speeding on East State Road 40 and plowing into the victims near Northeast 1st Avenue on Jan. 13.

Police said Zuniga did not stop, then later abandoned the truck he was driving.

Alicha Andino and Jessie Caldero were in the crosswalk when they were run down and killed.

Zuniga is charged with two counts of leaving the scene of a crash involving death.
