Albuquerque,NM : Multiple fatalities in 25-vehicle crash on June, monday 19th 2017

A 25-vehicle pile-up in southwestern NM resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries Monday evening, according to a New Mexico State Police spokesman.

Officer Carl Christiansen said the crash occurred around 5 p.m. on Interstate 10 at mile marker 11 westbound, near Lordsburg.

“The chain-reaction crash is attributed to a dust storm which had high winds causing limited visibility from blowing dust,” Christiansen said. “Eighteen commercial motor vehicles and seven passengers vehicles were involved, resulting in multiple fatalities, and injuries.”
