CHANDLER, AZ : Person hospitalized after car crashes into man-made lake in Chandler on Friday, 31st May 2024

A driver is in the hospital after a car crashed into a man-made lake in Chandler on Friday night.

Just before 9 p.m., Chandler police and firefighters were called out for reports of a car in a lake in a neighborhood near Dobson and Germann roads.

As emergency crews arrived, officers found a bystander had rescued the driver from the vehicle, who was the only one inside.

The driver had minor injuries and was arrested for DUI.
