Omaha, NE : One person seriously injured in crash near 36, R streets Monday morning, May 2, 2016

One person was seriously injured in a crash near 36th and R streets Monday morning, police say.

Douglas County dispatch confirms one person was taken to the University of Nebraska Medical Center around 2:30 a.m.

Two cars sustained damage in the accident. Police towed one vehicle away while the other was able to drive away from the scene.

No word yet on what caused the crash.

One woman was placed in the back of a police cruiser for questioning.
