FORT WORTH, TX : 3 killed, 3 critically injured in Fort Worth crash on Monday, 11th September 2023

Fort Worth police are investigating a deadly crash on Interstate 35 near Berry Street that killed four people. A major part of the freeway was shut down for hours.

The five-vehicle crash happened Monday night around 9 p.m.

Police received a call about two vehicles involved in a minor accident. They were pulled over in the left shoulder. A truck pulled in to help, and then all three got hit by two 18-wheelers.

31-year-old Susana Longoria was identified as one of the four victims. Her family says she was a student at Tarrant County College and was headed home. She leaves behind a 9-year-old daughter.

25-year-old Chase Mapes of Oklahoma was also killed. His mother posted on social media that Mapes came down to Texas to help her. She wrote, "He was just growing into the man I knew he always was. I want him back."

21-year-old Jasmine Jones was pronounced dead at the hospital. Her passenger and friend, 23-year- old Kiara Barker, died on scene.
