Tucson, AZ : Driver critically injured in a motorcycle crash on the northwest side on Sunday, Nov 22, 2015

A motorcycle crash on the northwest side of Tucson closed a part of Twin Peaks Road as police investigated the cause of the accident.

According to Capt. Adam Goldberg, a fire district spokesman, the accident occurred around 4:30 p.m., when a 26-year-old man lost control of a motorcycle he was driving and crashed on the 10000 block of Twin Peaks Road near Silverbell Road.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time, said Goldberg.

He was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
