SOUTH BEND, IN : A man was killed in a motorcycle crash on April, Saturday 15th 2017

A man was killed about 3 p.m. Saturday when the motorcycle he was driving crashed while exiting the U.S. 31 Bypass onto Nimtz Parkway, police said.

Dead is Daniel Stenberg, 53, of South Bend, South Bend Police spokesman Ken Garcia said Saturday evening.

It was a single-vehicle crash.

Stenberg was exiting U.S. 31 on the Nimtz Parkway ramp, overcorrected and was ejected, Garcia said. He was not wearing a helmet, according to police.

Sgt. Kelly Waite said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by rescue personnel.
