BLOWING ROCK, NC : Boone man killed in Caldwell County motorcycle crash on Friday, 30th August 2024
Blowing Rock, North Carolina
A Boone man died in Caldwell County on Friday night after his motorcycle crossed the center line of the road and hit a Mercedes Benz, according to NC Highway Patrol investigators.
The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on U.S. 321 near Rocky Knob Road.
The motorcyclist was identified as 64-year-old Robert Thomas Kampfer. He died at the scene of the crash.
