Rochester, MN :19 - Years old Enos Swartzentruber killed and two injured after vehicles collided in the southbound lane on Monday ,August 31st 2015
The accident earlier in the day was on U.S. 52 near Preston about 25 miles away.
Killed in the 7 a.m. accident was Enos Swartzentruber, 19, of Mabel.
He was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am northbound when it collided with a southbound 2007 Infinity FX driven by Donnette Goldsmith, 38, of Preston.
The vehicles collided in the southbound lane, the Minnesota State Patrol said.
Goldsmith and her 8-year-old daughter, Shawntae, were injured and taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, but the patrol said the injuries were not life threatening.
Swartzentruber was alone in his car.
Foggy conditions may have been a factor in that crash. The State Patrol didn't say whether fog was a factor in the afternoon crash, though road conditions were listed as dry.
