Two people were killed in a crash near Caldwell late Saturday, Idaho State Police says.
The crash happened around 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of Homedale Road and South 10th Avenue. Investigators say a Honda Accord was driving east on Homedale Road and didn't stop at the stop sign at the intersection.
Troopers tell KBOI 2News the Honda hit a pickup truck that was driving south on South 10th Avenue.
Investigators say the pickup truck came to rest on its side, but that the driver, 31-year-old Tyler Cates, of Homedale, was not taken to the hospital.
Idaho State Police says the driver of the Honda, 19-year-old Marco Rivera of Nampa, and the passenger, 19-year-old Steven Gutierrez of Caldwell, both died on scene from their injuries. Troopers say a second passenger was taken to St. Alphonsus in Boise.
According to investigators, the three people in the Honda were not wearing their seat belts. Cates and his juvenile passenger were both wearing their seat belts.
Names have not been released yet, pending notification of families.
