A 59-year-old man died Tuesday in a Sweet Grass County ATV crash.

At about 2:30 p.m., the Montana Highway Patrol responded to the wreck on Secondary Road 298 near McLeod, according to MHP dispatch.

The man had been riding a Polaris ATV southbound when the vehicle drifted off the left side of the road and flipped end over end. The rider was thrown from the ATV and landed in an area covered with rocks and trees. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unknown if speed or alcohol are factors in the wreck. The incident remains under investigation by the MHP.
