Tampa , FL : Two pepole Hospialized after hit-and-run crash at Interstate 275 on Saturday Morning, December 6th 2014
State troopers are seeking the driver who caused a hit-and-run crash Saturday morning that sent two people to the hospital.
The accident just before 9 a.m. on Interstate 275 near Fowler Avenue caused serious injuries to Stephen Foltz, 67, and Melanie Foltz, 63, both of Dade City. The two were transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the couple were heading south near Fowler when their Volkswagen Jetta was rear-ended by a speeding car.
The crash sent the Jetta into a spin. The vehicle came to a rest on the interstate's inside lane, FHP said. Both occupants were wearing seat belts.
When the other car, described as a 1996 Honda Accord, came to a stop, the occupants, the driver, and one passenger exited the vehicle and ran off, FHP said
