Two Spartanburg County residents were killed in a Laurens County crash Tuesday morning.
Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols said Rebecca Davis, 35, of 1206 Casey Road in Woodruff, and Matthew James Cudd, of Bagwell Road in Roebuck, died following a head-on collision on Highway 101 northbound in Gray Court.
Cudd was traveling north on Highway 101 and Davis was traveling south, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol. Cudd’s vehicle crossed the center line and struck Davis’ vehicle head on, the Highway Patrol said.
Cudd was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead due to his injuries.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
