Seattle,WA : Driver in custody after 1 killed, 2 hurt in Maple Valley crash on March, Wednesday 21st 2018

An Auburn woman who admitted methamphetamine use has been taken into custody after a fatal crash late Wednesday night in Maple Valley.

A 28-year-old Seattle man was killed and two other people, a 27-year-old Auburn woman and a 36-year-old Roy man, were seriously injured in the two-vehicle crash on state Route 18, the Washington State Patrol reports.

The two injured people were taken to Harborview Medical Center.

State troopers and medics responded to the scene, near Southeast 231st Street, at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday after receiving reports of a serious accident.

Two totaled vehicles were found at the scene: a black Acura sedan and a white Mazda pickup.
