A 26-year-old Mooreland woman was injured Sunday afternoon when the motorcycle she was riding was struck by the vehicle traveling behind her.
Amanda Brooker was transported by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City and admitted in critical condition with head, body, arm and leg injuries, according to an OHP report.
The collision occurred at 4:13 p.m. on Interstate 40, about five miles west of Oklahoma City, according to the patrol.
Brooker, on a Suzuki XR1, and Jera Burton, 36, of Watonga, in a 2012 Mazda M6, were both eastbound when the Mazda struck the Suzuki from behind, according to the report. The collision caused Booker to be ejected into the center median.Both vehicles departed the roadway to the right and the Mazda ran over the Suzuki.
The cause of the collision is listed as "inattentive driving" by Burton, according to the report. Burton's condition at the time of the collision is listed as "apparently normal."
