Gainesville, TX : A 78-year-old Gainesville man who was injured on Wednesday, June 14, 2017

A 78-year-old Gainesville man who was injured while riding a motorcycle in the 500 block of North Grand Avenue earlier this week has died.

The Gainesville Police Department issued a statement Thursday morning.

"On Wednesday, June 14, 2017, around 6:30 p.m., the Collin County Medical Examiner’s office notified our agency that David Parton had succumbed to the injuries he received in the accident on Tuesday," according to the statement.
