HANNA CITY, IL : Brimfield-area man killed in Peoria County highway accident on Saturday, 30th November, 2019
A rural-Brimfield man was killed as the result of a single-vehicle accident Saturday night between Glasford and Hanna City, authorities stated.
Joseph Hersemann, 38, was pronounced dead at 12:37 a.m. Sunday at Lancaster and Hanna City-Glasford roads, according to a news release from Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood.
Few details were available regarding the accident, which happened about 11 p.m. Saturday.
Hersemann was the driver and was one of two people in the vehicle, Harwood stated. The passenger was transported to OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
The passenger sustained injuries that weren’t life threatening, according to Harwood.
No autopsy on Hersemann, who was wearing a seat belt, is to be performed. Results of toxicology tests were pending.
