PALMDALE, CA : A sheriff’s deputy was seriously injured in a collision in Palmdale on Wednesday, 28th March 2018

A sheriff’s deputy was seriously injured Wednesday in a collision in Palmdale that left a patrol vehicle on its side.

The crash was reported about 5:10 p.m. in the area of East Avenue Q and 18th Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The deputy’s vehicle collided with a civilian vehicle while he was responding to an emergency call, authorities said.

The deputy was taken to a hospital in serious condition but his condition improved and he was expected to be released late Wednesday night, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Two male occupants in the civilian vehicle were taken to a hospital in good condition and were also expected to be released soon.
